Paul Inglis has been the Council President since his election in November 2014. His current term will expire in November of 2022. As Council President, he is a member of all Village Committees. When Paul is not involved in Council duties, he is involved in many community service agencies and charitable organizations. In his spare time, Paul enjoys playing golf, bowling, working on his lawn and flower garden. Paul and his wife Cheri enjoy the time that they spend with their grandchildren Landon and Thea. Paul would like to see a collective and maximum effort to revitalize the downtown business area to make our community more attractive to visitors and serve as a magnet for drawing new retail business. President Inglis believes that expansion, growth, and development of our Industrial Park property are necessary to improving the Village of Shelby.

John was elected initially in 2008, and his current term will end in November 2024. John is the Chair for the Village Personnel Committee and sits on the Village Parks, Rec & Bldgs Committee. He is also a member of the Village Planning Commission. In his free time, he enjoys camping, hunting, watching sporting events, and spending time with this family. John has worked for GE Aviation as a machinist since 1993. He would like to see the Rail Trail become more of a focal point to our community because he believes that Shelby could be a perfect spot for people who use the trail to stop and enjoy part of their day in Shelby.

Dan is employed by NJ Fox and Son’s full-time, and enjoys fishing, golfing, hunting and spending time

Bill Chairs the Village Water & Sanitation Committee and Co-chairs the Village Finance & Insurance Committee. Bill keeps quite busy as the owner and operator of Harris Funeral Home and is an active member of the Shelby Rotary Club. You can catch Bill frequently riding his bike along the William Field Memorial Hart-Montague Trail. Bill strives to get fellow residents in the community engaged in the future planning of our Village. He is often asking his neighbors what they would like to see done in the Village of Shelby. He would also like to see the Rail Trail Pavilion developed more such as a band shell.

Committee and Co-chair of the Personnel Committee. When Damian is not performing Village Council duties, he works for Mercy Health as the Regional Manager of the Language Services Department. Damian also is the Soccer Program Co-Director for the Shelby Rec Club. In his spare time, Damian enjoys playing soccer, and spending time with his wife and three children. Damian would like to see more progress with the Village Parks and community integration that could help impassion the younger generation

Steve's current term ends in November 2022. Steve is the Chair of the Village Ordinance Committee and Co-Chair of the Water and Sanitation Committee. After 22 years of teaching 2nd Grade, Steve retired in 2012 and now works part-time at Harris Funeral Home. He enjoys spending time with his family and hopes to serve the Village of Shelby to the best of his ability.
Mike was appointed to the Village Council in 2021 to fill a vacancy. He is Chair of the Ordinance Committee, and Co-Chair of the Streets and Sidewalks Committee.
