The Village of Shelby Awarded with Two Impactful Grants

We’re proud to announce that The Village of Shelby was awarded two impactful grants last week, helping us support local businesses and invest in our future!
1️⃣ Match on Main Grant
All downtown businesses were eligible and encouraged to apply for this grant. Three businesses submitted applications to the Village, and we were allowed to apply on behalf of two. Of those, one business in our community was eligible to be awarded—and we’re thrilled to share that Tienda La Palma was selected!
As fiduciary, the Village will oversee the $25,000 grant, which Tienda La Palma will use to stock their store with high-quality products and invest in a modern POS system. Congratulations to Tienda La Palma!
2️⃣ Downtown Conceptual Design Grant
We also received $10,462.50 to cover 75% of the cost for a professional firm to create conceptual designs for a full renovation of downtown Shelby. These designs will be a key tool in launching our fundraising efforts and reimagining the heart of our village. More on that coming over the next several months!
