Last year’s Chainsaw Carving Festival was a huge success—and we’re ready to take it to the next level!
We’re introducing CarvePrize, a new community art experience inspired by Grand Rapids’ ArtPrize. But instead of paintings, our downtown will showcase stunning chainsaw carvings! The event will run from May through mid-July, culminating in the festival.
There’s one catch: CarvePrize comes with an upfront cost of $25,000 but believe it will quickly become self-sustaining. More importantly, it will bring lasting benefits to Shelby—drawing visitors from across the state and beyond, boosting local businesses, and helping shape our town’s identity.
