🚰 Big News for Shelby’s Water Infrastructure! 💧

November 12th, 2025
The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) has awarded the Village of Shelby a $648,000 Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) loan, which includes $324,000 in principal forgiveness—effectively a grant!

This vital funding will allow us to replace 60 aging water service lines, improving water quality, reliability, and safety for our residents. 💙

We’re grateful for EGLE’s support in helping us invest in a healthier future. The momentum in the Village continues in our ongoing quest of being safe, well-maintained, and appealing. These two opportunities demonstrate that we are putting skin in the ‘improvement’ game, and the state is matching it.
