🌟 Community Spotlight: The Ladder Community Center Youth in Action! 🌟
September 11th, 2025At the heart of Shelby is our community organizations and The Ladder Community Center is a vital part of that heartbeat — and the youth are the pulse! This summer, every Thursday, a group of incredible young people stepped up to serve our Village, and those days were the most well-attended of the week. Their energy, kindness, and hard work made a lasting impact.
Here’s just a glimpse of what they accomplished:
✅ Pulled 200 lbs of weeds in downtown Shelby
✅ Washed 22 cars during a free community car wash
✅ Swept porches and walkways throughout our neighborhoods
✅ Cleaned 53 windshields with a smile
✅ Delivered bags of candy to every customer and employee on Michigan & State Streets
🌭 Helped serve free hotdogs at “Grilling for God” Fridays at The Ladder
These young leaders showed us that our kids love to serve — and they do it with joy, purpose, and heart. 💙
🙏 The Ladder facilitates these acts of service to bless our community and share God’s love in practical ways. We’re so grateful for their partnership and the light they bring to Shelby!
