❄️ It’s that time of year again! Clearing Village Sidewalks❄️
December 3rd, 2025Snow is falling on our streets and sidewalks, and we want to remind everyone of an important ordinance: keeping sidewalks clear is the responsibility of the adjacent property owner. https://ecode360.com/46149194
This year, we’re happy to share some good news! With an additional staff member in our DPW team, we’re aiming to clear sidewalks as part of our comprehensive snow removal efforts. However, this depends on two things:
✅ Equipment working properly
✅ Full staffing at the time
Please keep in mind: we have 6 miles of sidewalks, so this takes time. If, for any reason, we’re unable to clear sidewalks as a village, they still need to be cleared for safe walking.
Need help?
If you have a sidewalk but are not physically able to shovel or don’t have the means to pay someone to do it, please reach out to the office. We’ll do our best to connect you with someone who can assist. This is what community is all about—helping each other. 💙
