Many residents are doing their part to keep Shelby looking its best—planting flowers, maintaining their lawns, updating siding, and replacing roofs. These efforts make a real difference in our community. While we’ve made great progress, there’s always more we can do.

To help with those efforts, your tax dollars are funding Community Clean-Up Day / Dumpster Day this Saturday August 1 from 9am to 12pm at the Optimist Club parking lot, giving residents an opportunity to dispose of unwanted items and help keep our town clean and attractive.

Please review the attached graphic for a list of items that are and are not accepted in the dumpsters, as required by the disposal company.

Also new this year is a voucher system, designed to give all residents a fair opportunity to participate before some individuals make multiple trips.
