The Southern Oceana Area Chamber, the Village of Shelby, and the Shelby Benona Fire Department invites you to join in on the fun and festive Halloween celebration – Shelby’s Trunk or Treat & Halloween Spooktacular! – on Friday, October 31st!

Trunk or Treat on Michigan Ave – Starting at 5:30 PM

Decorate a trunk or set up a table and help us pass out candy to trick-or-treaters of all ages. Michigan Avenue will be closed to traffic starting at 5:00 PM to allow for safe setup and a spooky good time! All businesses, families, and community groups are welcome to participate.

Halloween Spooktacular at Getty Park – Following Trunk or Treat

After the candy fun on Michigan Ave, head down to Getty Park for a Halloween Spooktacular full of treats, activities, and surprises for the whole family.

👻 What to Expect:

– Candy stations hosted by local businesses and community organizations (this was started by the Shelby- Benona Fire Department – Great Idea!)
– People handing out candy from their trunk
– Fun surprises from the Shelby Event Team including afterward activities down at Getty Park
– Community spirit and Halloween cheer!

🛑 Street Closure Notice:
Michigan Avenue will be closed between Third and Fourth Streets from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM to accommodate the event.

🎃 Calling All Businesses!
You are invited to set up a table outside your storefront to hand out candy and showcase your services. It’s a great way to connect with the community and be part of the fun!

You are invited to park your car downtown and hand out candy from your trunk. Another great way to connect with the community and be part of the fun!
