Drinking Water Service Lines Inventory

If you see this truck around town, they are here to complete a water service line inventory at 124 addresses in our village. They are going to remove sod around the size of a basketball in two spots next to the curb stop – one on the road side, one on the house side. Then, they will vacuum (yes, literally suck the sand) until they reach the service line. Then, they will record the material that the line is made of and cover it back up. In most cases, we won’t even know they were here.
If you have had your service line replaced by the Village over the past several years, they will not conduct the inventory at your house.
