Zoning permit process

  1. Retrieve a zoning permit application either online or in person at the village office.
  2. Fill out the application and pay the applicable fee.
    1. Make sure your plan complies with the zoning ordinance.
    2. Fill out the application thoroughly with measurements from the boundaries of your property and the buildings on your property. Measurements are critical.
    3. If you need guidance, the village staff would be happy to help.
  3. The application will be reviewed by the zoning administrator within 5 days from the date it is turned in.
  4. The application will be returned as “approved”, “approved with conditions”, or “denied for the following reasons”.
  5. If your application is denied, you can make adjustments to your plan and fill out another application.
